Saturday Snapshot 10/9

Hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books

Muffin

Muffin was an orphan when he came to our house.
He had lived with my dad's boss since a pup and so he knew dad well.

We never had any pets as children, and mum was sure we were not going to have Muffin.  It was a temporary stay when Muffin's owner died in his 90's.

Well, all that changed.  Mum got on very well with Muffin and he stayed with us until he died.

Muffin was a Dachshund - Jack Russell cross.  Very short legs and Dachshund colourings with a Jack Russell face, body and tail.
In this photo he was an old boy. You can see the grey around his mouth.  If I can remember rightly, he lived until he was about 19.

He was a great character. He used to have two biscuits given to him each night at bedtime. He would eat one and leave the other next to his basket. He would eat the 2nd one when dad came down in the morning.

He had never been around young children.  When a young child would visit, he would slink off out of the room.
