Day 5  A book that makes you happy.

Reading Chick-lit, rom-com or chick-lit for 40+ readers are the books that make me happy.  These books take me away from the stresses and strains of the day.

Sometimes I can identify with characters or situations in the novels. Other times they are just grown-up fairytales.  I know that real-life is not really like that, from personal experience, but these books have the entertainment factor.

Reading books with my children make me happy, too.  The eldest 2 mainly read for schoolwork these days, but I do have AJ to share bedtime books with.  :)

There have been many books that have made me happy this year.
Some of my favourites from this year can be found here and here

Day 6 A book that makes you sad

I suppose a true life story would make me sad but I purposely stay away from those.  I do have a tendency to worry about others.

A Fictional book that made me cry with sadness was

Star Gazing by Linda Gillard There was a particular scene that really got me.  Fantastic read.
