Hi everyone! Well, here I am on the wonderful Dizzy C’s Little Book Blog to celebrate the launch of my new novel Strings Attached!
I am ultra excited about this novel for lots of reasons. One, it has an absolutely gorgeous cover, two, it has a very hot male lead and three, it is a little bit different from my other books.
Here is the blurb:-
Between the past and the future there are always strings attached
Caterer George Fraser has a mission. She’s going to prove everyone wrong. Ambitious owner of catering firm Finger Food and black sheep of her family, she’s determined to succeed in business where she’s so far failed in her personal life. Asked to cater for gorgeous rock star Quinn Blake’s after-show party her life suddenly takes a turn for the dramatic.
Magnetically drawn together, George and Quinn embark on a relationship that no one must know about. But is Quinn everything he seems or is there more to his star life than he’s telling her?
Things hot up when George is invited to the wedding of the millennium and her integrity very soon becomes compromised. With celebrity obsessed colleague Marisa in the mix and her beloved Adam spending more time in her life can George keep her secrets and hold on to her ambition, or will love finally get in the way?
George and Quinn definitely have an air of Cathy and Heathcliff about them. When they meet everything else goes out of the window and that’s the relationship I tried hard to create. They fancy the pants off each other, but apart from the physical attraction, there is an immediate, deep rooted connection between them. Both characters are very strong, bold people who know their own minds but, as you will see, pull a couple of strings and they both could unravel!
As most of you probably know already, I don’t have an agent and I am not signed to a lovely large publishing house, so Strings Attached hasn’t benefitted from a paid team of experts scrutinising it and pushing it into the main novel arena. But what it has benefitted from is Team Baggot! I am a featured author with innovative website loveahappyending.com and have four brilliant Associate Readers (Sharon Goodwin, Louise Graham, Rea Sinfield and Lindsay Gentles) who have been invaluable in supporting me through the editing process and helping create a buzz about the book. Sharon and Louise also helped with the proofreading process and gave their opinions on the cover design – I think we made an excellent choice! When you’re a team of one, it is hard work getting a novel from the desktop to readers’ hands – but now I’m in a team of five (and growing!) I’m really excited about the future!
Strings Attached is available on-line from Amazon (paperback and Kindle), Waterstones and W H Smith or ask your friendly local bookshop to order it for you!
