Festive Fun - Day 13 - Mandy Baggot

Mandy Baggot answers my festive questions for Festive Fun Author Advent Day 13

What is your favourite festive film/book or both?

My favourite festive film is Die Hard, closely followed by Die Hard 2! Mr Big and I have a tradition that we watch Die Hard or Die Hard 2 on Christmas Eve (sometimes both!) usually with a Chinese takeaway! Bruce Willis, bad-ass terrorists and snow! What more could you ask for?

Tree – Real or Artificial? 

Artificial! Our tree is falling apart but there's something about straightening out those bendy branches, knowing an old friend is rejoining is in the living room for the festive season! We keep saying we're going to get a new artificial tree but I can't bring myself to do it!

Bucks Fizz or Mulled Wine or other?

Both! Lady B doesn't need Christmas as an excuse to break open the indulgent alcohol! Bucks Fizz with breakfast and mulled wine with mince pies!

Mince pie or Choc Yule Log?

Both! I love a mince pie but much prefer the ones topped with icing instead of pastry! And chocolate Swiss rolls (that's what they are aren't they?)...well, buy several and store!

Lunch has been demolished and the dishwasher is on....do you walk, sit down for Eastenders and Queen’s speech or have another tradition for after lunch?

Sit down usually in front of the tele, eating from the rub of Roses or Celebrations, half asleep, while the children make us play games with the toys Santa brought them!
