Festive Fun - Day 4 - Sarah Tranter

Newly published Sarah Tranter is here for Day 4 of Festive Fun Author Advent

Sarah, thank you for being here today,

What is your favourite festive film/book or both?

Miracle on 34th Street― with Richard Attenborough. Love love love that film. Shame my boys don’t. Will persist, however.

Tree – Real or Artificial? Why?

Real. It’s down to hubs. I’m inclined to go for artificial but can’t deny the pleasure of going to choose one with him and the boys. It marks the start of Christmas for us.

Mince pie or Choc Yule Log?

Absolutely, definitely Choc Yule Log. Even if the mince pie has icing on the top.

Christmas dinner – Turkeyor Beef or other?

Turkey and other. I’m veggie so if I remember, I’ll pull something out of the freezer for me. I invariably forget.
The boys adore turkey. We must eat Xmas dinner with the curtains pulled though so our chooks in the garden can’t see the turkey. My youngest is worried they will think it’s a big chicken on the table.

Lunch has been demolished and the dishwasher is on….do you walk, sit down for Eastenders and Queen’s speech or have another tradition for after lunch?

Putting batteries in toys. And more batteries in toys. Or attempting to salvage the situation when we discover we’ve the wrong batteries for toys. And trying to prevent packaging being ripped from toys and instructions being lost. And drinking. Once the meal is out of the way it’s my turn to play catch up. Bring on the baileys. Quantity and rate of consumption depends on the battery situation J
