"Write to me, Emmi.  Writing is like kissing, but without the lips, Writing is kissing with the mind."

Love Virtually is a funny, fast-paced and utterly absorbing novel, with plenty of twists and turns, about a love affair conducted entirely by e-mail.

Written entirely in email format this love story doesn't need a narrative.

Two people brought together by a mis-directed email. Emmi is happily married to Bernhard, Leo is living alone.
What started out as a few polite emails between these two strangers develops into regular contact where the writing becomes much more personal, emotional and revealing.

It is difficult to write much about this love story without giving anything away.  There are some twists and turns that are unexpected and crank up the tension and passion between Emmi and Leo.

Right to the very end, Leo and Emmi question what each other wants from this correspondence and the other person, and whether they want to meet up or whether it is best to remain virtual friends.  They are desperate to meet one another.  You will need to read this for yourself to find out what happens as to write anymore would give away too much of the story.

I loved this story right from the outset.  I was expecting some narrative but it was necessary and worked very well in email format.  I loved the characters and cared about them.  I was totally absorbed in their, often stormy, affair.  Fantastic read!

4 and half out of 5 for me!

Thank you to MacLehose Press & Quercus for sending me a review copy.
